Center stage, all the rage
Dim the lights, the joke's on you
Imagine all the things they put you through
Crack all your eggs in the same empty basket.
Just look at the mess you've made.
You'll never be good enough.
You'll never go far enough.
Some of us weren't meant to leave.
That's what the headlines say.
You'll never be good enough.
You'll never break through enough.
Don't believe everything you read.
That's what the headlines say to me.
I remember having faith
Try to think a little clearer
Before every word became an open sore
Always counting down the days
Will I ever get a sign?
I throw my hands up at the sky
If I could swallow another winter
I just might make it out alive
Nowhere to go but up
Sometimes I feel like falling
Take a breath, we'll scream up at the sky
Sometimes I feel like dying
But I keep trying to ignore the headlines
Ignore the headlines
I think I'm drowning
I swore I'd never get in over my head
Throw me a lifeline, I swear that my eyes are turning red
And still I answer half-heartedly
"I'm fine"
"I'm great"
I lie through my teeth
Sometimes I feel like falling
Take a breath, we'll scream up at the sky
Sometimes I feel like dying
But I keep trying to ignore the headlines
Ignore the headlines
Here we are back at the start again
Trying to stay afloat
We're swimming in circles again.
You'll never be good enough.
You'll never go far enough.
Don't believe everything you read.
That's what the headlines say to me.
You'll never be good enough.
You'll never break through enough.
Don't believe everything you read.
That's what the headlines say to me.
A record that you can listen to over and over again and still find something new. Absolutely great punk rock, which is sometimes harder, sometimes relaxed, but always finds the right drive. Probably an absolutely awesome live band. falkdanger
It'll probably be the rock and roll and shit. Yadda yadda. Just paid the price of a packet and a half of fags for their entire output to date in one sitting. Not proud of this, but that's basic economics for you. If you like the Bronx, then you'll like this. Only it's basically waaay better than the Bronx, who can't even be bothered to give their albums proper titles. DB SCHENKER
Berkely duo Axe serve up four catchy, heavy synth-punk rippers inspired by campy horror flicks and old-school heavy metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 28, 2021
Oakland band Silent Era's sound is a killer mix of classic hardcore and NWOBHM. On their second LP, they're especially urgent and anthemic. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 1, 2020
